All 3 Japanese teams win! Yokoahama FM and Kobe with 2 consecutive victories / ACL MD2 Review

All three Japanese teams won on Match-day 2 of the AFC Champions League that took place on February 18 and 19.

FC Tokyo were dominant against Perth Glory (Australia) at home, but struggled to score a goal. Finally in the 82nd minute, Leandro found the net from outside the penalty area to break the deadlock. The sole goal was enough for FC Tokyo to claim their first victory in this campaign.

Vissel Kobe also had problems turning their possession into a goal against Suwon Bluewing in South Korea, but managed to earn the whole three points when in the 90th minute Kyogo Furuhashi finished off Gotoku Sakai’s cross from the left side.
Meanwhile, Yokohama F.Marinos took an early lead against Sydney FC (Australia) at home, thanks to Ado Onaiwu’s goal in the 12th minute. With Teruhito Nakagawa adding a brace in the 31st and 33rd minute, Yokohama ended the first half up 3-0. Onaiwu scored his second early in the second half, as F.Marinos comfortably secured their second consecutive win.
