Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo announced that midfielder Hiromu Tanaka has joined PSS Sleman (Indonesia) on a permanent transfer.
Tanaka had been with Sapporo since 2022 and made four appearances in last season's MEIJI YASUDA J2/J3 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE.
Following the announcement, Tanaka commented:
"I have decided to join PSS Sleman in Indonesia. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank Tomoki Suzuki for bringing me to Consadole. I am proud to have started my professional career with this club.
To everyone who has supported me, I truly believe Consadole is the best club in Japan. The passionate support that makes us feel we're fighting together, not only at home but away from home as well. The family atmosphere shared by the players, coaching staff and everyone at the club. The incredible backing we receive from our partner companies. And, of course, the wonderful place that is Hokkaido. I genuinely believe no other club can match what Consadole has. That's why I believe this club belongs in J1. To be honest, I wanted to help the team achieve that goal myself. Even so, I have no doubt the players and staff will secure promotion in the 2026/27 season. Please continue to give them your incredible support.
To my teammates, I'm sad that we'll now be playing for different clubs. I genuinely enjoyed every training session, and there was never a day I didn't look forward to coming to the training ground. I'm grateful to have shared the pitch with such talented teammates. Please earn promotion and experience the moment we've all been working towards. To all the friends I made in Hokkaido, thank you for welcoming me and making my time here so special. You've made me fall in love with Hokkaido, and I'll definitely be back to visit. I hope to see you all again soon. I love Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. Thank you for an unforgettable four and a half years!"
