Matsumoto Yamaga F.C. have announced that defender Kengo Kitazume has joined the club on loan from Shimizu S-Pulse. The loan agreement runs until 30 June 2027, and he will wear the No. 30 shirt.
Kitazume had been with Shimizu since 2023, making 14 appearances and scoring one goal in last season's MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE.
Following the announcement, Kitazume commented:
"I am honoured to have been given this opportunity by such a wonderful club. I will give everything I have, both on and off the pitch, and do my utmost to help Matsumoto Yamaga F.C. achieve promotion to J2. I look forward to playing in front of the supporters as soon as possible. I've heard so many great things about the city of Matsumoto from former teammates and friends who have lived here, and the more I hear, the more excited I become about starting this new chapter. Let's achieve promotion together!"
