University of Tsukuba DF Ikeda Set to Join Kataller Toyama in 2027/28 Season

Kataller Toyama have announced that defender Shunta Ikeda of the University of Tsukuba will join the club for the 2027/28 season. The club also announced that he has been registered as a 2026/27 JFA/J.League Special Designated Player.
Ikeda, who is from Kanagawa Prefecture, previously played in the Yokohama F. Marinos academy.
Following the announcement, Ikeda commented:
"I'm really happy to be able to begin my professional career with Kataller Toyama and fulfil my childhood dream. I'd like to sincerely thank my parents and family for always giving me the opportunity to devote myself to the sport I love.
