Four Matchweek 1 fixtures in the MEIJI YASUDA J3 LEAGUE were played on Sunday.

Ehime FC took the lead at home against Nara Club in the 36th minute through Shota Tamura, who scored against his former club. Koji Sugiyama doubled the lead three minutes later before an own goal just before half-time made it 3-0. Tamura struck again in the 64th minute to extend Ehime's lead to four, and although Nara pulled one back, the hosts ran out comfortable 4-1 winners.

FC Gifu gained a numerical advantage away to Reilac Shiga FC when the hosts were reduced to 10 men just before half-time. Hayato Kanda opened the scoring in the 50th minute, before Shun Nakamura doubled the lead in the 84th minute and Shohei Ogushi added a third in the 90th minute to seal a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Kamatamare Sanuki came from behind to beat Fukushima United FC 2-1. Ryoma Sano brought Sanuki level in the 50th minute before Kaito Hayashida scored the winner in the 82nd minute.

Tochigi SC came from behind to claim a dramatic 3-2 home victory over Zweigen Kanazawa. Trailing 2-1, Ryusei Tabata equalised in the 81st minute before Taishi Nagai struck the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
