Albirex Niigata have announced that defender Yudai Fujiwara has been diagnosed with a ruptured left Achilles tendon and is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight months.
Fujiwara sustained the injury in the MEIJI YASUDA J2 LEAGUE Matchweek 1 fixture against RB Omiya Ardija on August 8 and has since undergone surgery at a hospital in Niigata City.
