FC Gifu have announced that midfielder Shoma Handa of Tokyo Gakugei University will join the club in 2027. The club also announced that he has been registered as a 2026/27 JFA/J.League Special Designated Player.
Handa, who is from Shizuoka Prefecture, commented:
“I’m Shoma Handa, and I’ll be joining FC Gifu in 2027. I’m truly honoured to have the opportunity to become part of FC Gifu as a Special Designated Player. I’ll always be grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, and I want to learn as much as I can in a professional environment and continue developing as a player. I’ll work hard every day to show my strengths on the pitch and help the team win. Thank you for your support.”
