Following the results of the 2026/27 J.LEAGUE YAMAZAKI BISCUITS Levain CUP 1ST ROUND – 1st Round matches played on Wednesday 9 September, the kick-off times and stadiums for 2nd Round have been confirmed.
The kick-off time and stadium for FC Osaka vs. Avispa Fukuoka, which had previously been undecided, have also been confirmed.

■ 1ST ROUND Dates, Competition Format and Match Format
● Dates
1st Round: Wednesday 2 September / Wednesday 9 September
2nd Round: Tuesday 29 September
3rd Round: Wednesday 14 October
4th Round: Saturday 3 October / Wednesday 28 October
*For 4th Round, matches involving the four clubs participating in AFC club competitions will be played on Saturday 3 October, while the remaining matches will be played on Wednesday 28 October.
● Competition Format
The 58 clubs comprising 18 J1 clubs, 20 J2 clubs and 20 J3 clubs will be divided into six groups, with each group played in a single-match knockout format. The 18 J1 clubs exclude Kashima Antlers and Vissel Kobe, the two highest-ranked clubs based on the combined standings of the 2025 MEIJI YASUDA J.League and the MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE among the six clubs participating in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27 and AFC Champions League Two 2026/27: Kashima, Kobe, Machida, Kashiwa, Gamba Osaka and Kyoto.
Of the six clubs participating in AFC club competitions, the four ranked third to sixth on the combined standings — Machida, Kashiwa, Gamba Osaka and Kyoto — will enter the 1st Round at 4th Round and face each other, with third playing sixth and fourth playing fifth.
The six clubs that advance from their respective groups, together with Kashima and Kobe, will progress to the PRIME ROUND.
● Match Format and Determination of Winners
Matches will be played over 90 minutes, comprising two 45-minute halves. If the scores are level, 30 minutes of extra time will be played, comprising two 15-minute halves. If the scores remain level after extra time, the winner will be decided by a penalty shoot-out. Each team will take five kicks, with sudden-death kicks taken one at a time from the sixth kick onwards if required.
