Albirex Niigata have announced the permanent signings of forward Tomoya Osawa from Zweigen Kanazawa and defender Masahiro Sekiguchi from V-Varen Nagasaki.
Osawa had been with Kanazawa since 2025 and made six appearances, scoring one goal, in the MEIJI YASUDA J3 LEAGUE this season. Sekiguchi had been with Nagasaki since 2025 and made six appearances in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE this season.
Both players commented on their signings:
Osawa:
“I’m very happy to become part of a club with such a proud tradition. I’ll work hard to contribute to the team as soon as possible and give everything I have for Albirex Niigata. I’ll also keep working hard every day so that we can share many victories with our supporters. Thank you for your support.”
Sekiguchi:
“I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to play for this team, which has always held a special place in my heart. When I received the offer, I remembered visiting Big Swan as a child, with more than 40,000 people filling the stadium, and watching football there with admiration. I want to give everything I have for Niigata as we work towards promotion to J1, so that I can once again share that excitement and emotion with all our fans and supporters. Thank you for your support!”
