MF Kawakami Joins Matsumoto Yamaga F.C. on Permanent Transfer from Mito Hollyhock

Matsumoto Yamaga F.C. have announced the signing of midfielder Kotatsu Kawakami from Mito Hollyhock on a permanent transfer. He will wear the No. 48 shirt.

Kawakami returned to Mito in 2026 and did not make an appearance in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE this season.

Kawakami, who spent part of the 2025 season on a development loan at Matsumoto, commented upon his return to the club:

“It’s been a while. I’m Kotatsu Kawakami. I’m very happy to have received another offer and to have the opportunity to play for this great club again. I’ve come here with great determination. I’ll give everything I have, drawing on the experience I’ve gained while continuing to grow as a player, and do all I can to help the team achieve its goals. I’m looking forward to playing in front of you all at Alwin again.”
