Kataller Toyama have announced that midfielder Ayumu Kameda has suffered an injury.
Kameda sustained the injury during a training match on 13 September and has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), a medial collateral ligament injury and a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee. He is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10 months.
Kameda commented through the club:
“Thank you, as always, for all your support! This is the first serious injury I’ve ever had, but I’ve already turned my focus to getting back on the pitch and I’m working hard on my recovery. I’ll come back stronger, so I hope you’ll be there when I return!”
