Fujieda MYFC have announced that goalkeeper Keitaro Kaimoto of Waseda University will join the club in 2027.
Kaimoto is from Saitama Prefecture and previously played in the RB Omiya Ardija academy.
Following the announcement, Kaimoto commented:
“First of all, I would like to thank my parents, who have always supported and encouraged me, the coaches who taught me the joy of football, the friends I have made through the game, those who have cheered me on, all the supporters, and everyone who has been part of my journey so far. Thank you very much. I’m also truly grateful to my teammates in the same year at Waseda University. We have faced and overcome so many challenges together, and it is because of them that I have been able to grow both as a footballer and as a person. I would also like to thank the club’s alumni, staff and younger players.
“When I was young, I was captivated by the sight of footballers playing with confidence in front of huge crowds in big stadiums, and before I knew it, I was completely absorbed in the game. I’m incredibly happy to be able to fulfil my dream of becoming a professional footballer with Fujieda MYFC. I’ll fight with determination to help Fujieda MYFC win and achieve promotion to J1. To everyone connected with Fujieda MYFC, thank you for your support. I look forward to being part of the club.”
