Shizuoka Gakuen High School MF Matsunaga Set to Join Yokohama FC in 2027

Yokohama FC have announced that midfielder Yuki Matsunaga of Shizuoka Gakuen High School will join the club in 2027.
 
Matsunaga, who is from Kanagawa Prefecture, is described by the club as one of the standout attacking players of his generation at high school level, combining excellent technique with impressive physical attributes. His wide range of dribbling skills allows him to beat defenders and excite spectators, while his versatility enables him to play in several positions.
 
Upon joining the club, Matsunaga commented:
 
“I'm delighted to be able to begin my professional football career, a dream I've had since childhood, at such a wonderful club. I want to make the most of my dribbling ability in Yokohama FC's ultra-attacking style of football, contribute to the team as soon as possible and help the club win promotion to J1.
