Vegalta Sendai have announced that forward Tsubasa Umeki welcomed his first child, a son, on 24 October.
Umeki commented through the club:
“I'm delighted to announce the birth of our first child, a baby boy. My wife has been through so much during her pregnancy, facing all the worries and uncertainties that come with experiencing everything for the first time. I'm deeply grateful to her and have so much respect for everything she went through to bring our son into the world. I'm also very happy that both mother and baby are doing well. I'll keep working hard to grow as a father and support my family. My wife and I want to support each other and build a warm, loving home together. I'm also sincerely grateful to the club for respecting my wishes and being so understanding and supportive. I'll continue to give everything I have for Vegalta Sendai.
