J.League has agreed to continue its title partnership with Yamazaki Biscuits Co., Ltd. for the league cup competition in the 2026/27 season. This marks the 34th consecutive tournament in which Yamazaki Biscuits Co., Ltd. has served as title partner, dating back to the inaugural edition in 1992.
As the league enters a period of transition with the shift to a new season format, it has also been decided that the tournament name will be changed from the current “J.League YBC Levain Cup” to the new “J.League Yamazaki Biscuits Levain Cup.” Alongside this change, the tournament logo will also be updated.
The name change aims to preserve and build upon the brand value and rich history of the “Levain Cup,” which has become one of Japan’s three major domestic football titles and is cherished by many fans and supporters. At the same time, by incorporating the title partner’s corporate name, “Yamazaki Biscuits,” directly into the tournament name, the initiative seeks to further enhance recognition of Yamazaki Biscuits Co., Ltd., whose continued support has been integral to the J.League Cup since its launch.
The new logo incorporates design elements inspired by the packaging of the “Levain Series,” one of Yamazaki Biscuits Co., Ltd.’s flagship products. Designed as a symbol connecting the competition with the “Levain Series,” the new logo aims to create a more familiar and approachable visual identity for fans and supporters.
To date, 17 clubs have lifted the trophy, creating countless unforgettable moments and memories for their fans and supporters. Through this change to the tournament name and logo, J.League and Yamazaki Biscuits Co., Ltd. will further strengthen their partnership and continue to enhance the value of the competition as a cup tournament that plays a leading role in the growth and development of Japanese football.
