V-Varen Nagasaki have announced that midfielder Hotaru Yamaguchi will serve as captain for the 2026/27 season. The club also confirmed that defenders Masahiro Sekiguchi, Yusei Egawa and Takuma Ominami, along with midfielder Motoki Hasegawa, will serve as vice-captains.
Following the announcement, Yamaguchi commented:
"I have been given the honour of serving as captain for the third time since joining Nagasaki. The vision this club is striving to achieve is by no means an easy one to realise, and this season will be an extremely important one for everyone connected with Nagasaki. I want to share the experience I've gained throughout my career with the team and build a season in which the players, staff, fans and supporters all work together toward the same goal."
