Sanfrecce Hiroshima have announced the signing of midfielder Takumu Kawamura on a permanent transfer from Austrian top-flight club FC Red Bull Salzburg.
Kawamura previously played for Hiroshima until 2024 and returns to the club after two years.
Kawamura commented following the announcement:
"I am delighted to be returning to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the club for giving me the opportunity to play here once again. My two years overseas were not what I had hoped for, largely because of injuries. It was a difficult period, but I will use that frustration as motivation and give everything I have for this club. Winning a title with Sanfrecce has been my dream since I was a child. I will dedicate myself fully to achieving that dream.
I would also like to thank all the fans and supporters who continued to support me while I was overseas. Your encouragement meant so much to me during those difficult times. I will give everything I have on the pitch and fight with all my heart to help Hiroshima win matches and titles. I can't wait to fight alongside you again at EDION PEACE WING HIROSHIMA.
