Kawasaki Frontale have announced that midfielder Yasuto Wakizaka will serve as captain for the 2026/27 season. The club have also named defender Asahi Sasaki, midfielder Tatsuya Ito and goalkeeper Svend Brodersen as vice-captains.
Following the announcement, Wakizaka commented:
"I am honoured to serve as captain once again this season. Our goal is to win a title in the 2026/27 season and return to the Asian stage. As the club celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's come together as one to help Kawasaki Frontale reach even greater heights. Thank you for your support."
