FC Tokyo have announced that defender Sei Muroya will serve as captain for the 2026/27 season. The club have also named defender Hayato Inamura and forward Kein Sato as vice-captains.
Following the announcement, Muroya commented:
"I am very honoured to have been appointed captain again for the 2026/27 season. I will approach every day with a strong sense of responsibility. As captain, I want to remain consistent through both the good times and the difficult times while maintaining good communication with the manager. Although Hayato Inamura, Kein Sato and I have been given these roles, everyone in the squad needs to show leadership and take responsibility. I believe this team can become that kind of group. I will give everything I have for the team."
