J.League Launches Large-Scale OOH Campaign Across Shibuya to Mark the Opening of the 2026/27 Season
Tue, 4 Aug 2026, 15:00 (JST)

As part of its promotional campaign for the opening of the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J.League season, the J.League will launch a large-scale out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaign across approximately 30 locations in Tokyo's Shibuya district.
By bringing the campaign to Shibuya—one of Japan's most iconic destinations and a global hub visited by people from around the world—the J.League aims to embody its ambition of becoming a league chosen by the world.
The campaign will appear across around 30 locations, including Shibuhachi Hit Vision and Synchro 7 Hit Vision overlooking the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, MEDIA DEPARTMENT TOKYO, the Den-en-toshi Line Shibuya Station Big Signage Premium, and the 19-panel WALL MALL SBY. By transforming Shibuya into a stage for the campaign, the J.League aims to build excitement for the new season and showcase the league's new beginning to a wide audience.
The campaign features the key messages "A New Beginning for the J.League – 7 August" and "From Here to the World.", expressing both the start of a new era for the J.League and the future it is striving towards. It will also feature creative content in collaboration with Pokémon, helping the campaign reach audiences of all generations, including people who may have had little previous connection with the J.League.
As part of the collaboration, WALL MALL SBY in Shibuya will feature match visuals showcasing each club's partner Pokémon at 12 locations. Visitors will be invited to explore the area in search of the Pokémon featured in the match visuals, creating an interactive experience that encourages them to stop, look around and enjoy the excitement of discovery. Through these moments of discovery, the J.League hopes to create memorable experiences for everyone visiting Shibuya.
By turning Shibuya itself into a media platform, the J.League aims to create opportunities for people to engage with the league as part of their everyday lives, while building excitement across the city ahead of the opening of the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J.League season on 7 August.
The campaign will also extend to Osaka, helping build excitement for the opening of the new J.League season across Japan.
