Urawa Reds have announced that defender Reon Tanaka of Tokai University will join the club in 2029. The club also announced that he has been registered as a 2026/27 JFA/J.League Special Designated Player.
Tanaka, who is from Kanagawa Prefecture, commented:
"I'm really happy to be able to begin my professional career, which has been my dream since I was a child, with a club with such a proud history and tradition as Urawa Reds. I'd like to sincerely thank my family, coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way. I'm already looking forward to the day I can play at Saitama Stadium in front of the club's incredible fans and supporters.
