Vissel Kobe have announced that midfielder Yuan Iwamoto of Chukyo University will join the club for the 2029/30 season. The club also announced that he has been registered as a 2026/27 JFA/J.League Special Designated Player.
Iwamoto, who is from Osaka Prefecture, previously played in the Vissel Kobe academy.
Following the announcement, Iwamoto commented:

I can't wait to wear the Vissel Kobe shirt again and play in front of our fans and supporters. I'd like to thank my family and everyone who has supported me along the way.
