Shiga Claim First-Ever J3 Win! Shinta Hojo Scores Hat-Trick [MEIJI YASUDA J3 Matchweek 2 Summary]

Four Matchweek 2 fixtures in the MEIJI YASUDA J3 LEAGUE were played on 16 August.

Playing away to Nara, Kagoshima took the lead through Keito Kawamura in the 30th minute. Nara equalised, but Ryo Arita restored Kagoshima's lead in the 57th minute before Riku Saga added a third in the 90th minute to seal a 3-1 victory and make it two wins from two to start the season.

Ehime took the lead at home to Tottori through Shota Tamura in the 56th minute, his second goal in as many matches. Shota Hino doubled their advantage in the 80th minute and struck again five minutes later before Kyota Funahashi added a fourth in the 90th minute to complete a 4-0 victory and make it two wins from two.

FC Osaka came from behind at home to Nagano, with Takumi Shimada equalising in the 62nd minute before Takahiro Kitsui put them ahead in the 78th minute. Toshiki Toya added another in the 81st minute as FC Osaka came out on top in a 4-2 thriller.

Shiga claimed their first-ever J3 victory with a 3-2 win over Matsumoto, with Shinta Hojo scoring a hat-trick.
