U-21 Kawasaki Frontale Come from Behind to Beat U-21 Jubilo Iwata as Hirose Scores Twice! U-21 Vissel Kobe Cruise to 4-0 Win [Summary: U-21 J.League Matchweek 1]

Four Matchweek 1 fixtures in the East-West League Round of the U-21 J.League were played on 23 August.

U-21 Kawasaki Frontale fell behind in the third minute away to U-21 Jubilo Iwata, but Katsuyoshi Kinoshita equalised in the 41st minute before Neo Hirose put them ahead in the 63rd minute. Hirose struck again in the 79th minute to extend their lead to two goals. Iwata pulled one back, but Kawasaki held on for a 3-2 victory.

U-21 Shimizu S-Pulse took the lead at home to U-21 Urawa Reds through Yuji Doi in the 14th minute. Urawa equalised but Shun Tatemi struck the winner in the 70th minute to seal a 2-1 victory.

U-21 Gamba Osaka travelled to face U-21 Fagiano Okayama and held on to the lead given to them by Koki Shirosaka's 55th-minute goal to secure a 1-0 victory. U-21 Vissel Kobe, meanwhile, cruised to a 4-0 win over U-21 V-Varen Nagasaki, with Hayato Watanabe among the scorers.
