FC Tokyo have announced that U-18 defender Haruto Tanaka will be promoted to the first team in January 2027 for the 2026/27 season.
Tanaka, who is from Tokyo, commented following the announcement:
“I’m very happy to be able to become a professional footballer with FC Tokyo, something that has been one of my goals. I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me along the way.
I’ll play with pride and a sense of responsibility in representing Tokyo, and I’ll do everything I can to help the team win. Thank you for your support.”
