Two Matchweek 2 fixtures in the U-21 J.League were played on 12 September.

U-21 FC Tokyo took the lead at home to U-21 Jubilo Iwata through Tsuna Kominato in the 57th minute before Kio Tanaka doubled their advantage nine minutes later. Kaede Suzuki added a third in the 87th minute to seal a 3-0 victory and make it two wins from two to start the season.

U-21 Tokyo Verdy fell behind away to U-21 Urawa but equalised through Ryosuke Shirai in the 56th minute. Gouki Yamada then struck the winner in the 71st minute to complete a 2-1 comeback victory.
