2021 J.LEAGUE SHAREN! Awards

 

J. LEAGUE SHAREN Awards is…
an award ceremony to reward and share to the society about J club’s cooperation with the community.

 

 

2020 was the 1st year of the J. LEAGUE SHAREN! Awards and we will recognize the best activity out of the hometown activities that were conducted by J clubs that worked toward solving and overcoming community and social issues. Many parties worked together to connect and send a message to maximize the power of J clubs to their communities and we will award each category.

●Category:Social Challenger Award/Public Award/Media Award

 

●Award:A memorable plaque will be awarded to the selected project/club

 

●Selection Criteria:
・Social Challenger Award
※Challenging towards solving social issues within the community
・Public Award
※ Utilizing the national and local government policy in order to solve the social issues within the community with other stake holders for a sustainable act.
・Media Award
※An activity that has an attractive storyline for the media to feature

■2021 J.LEAGUE SHAREN! Awards・Announcement of Each Award

 

Social Challenger Award
●【Assist the Community】 Hometown Takeout Map (Yokohama F・Marinos)
(In the midst of state of emergency due to COVID-19, this was a project to create a takeout map open to the community. It was a meaningful project to work along with the community in utilizing the media power of a professional sports club).
●Saves the Lives of Niigata. Activities to raise awareness in suicide prevention (Albirex Niigata)
(The number of suicides in Niigata prefecture is among the worst in the nation. In order to raise awareness of the “gatekeepers” that recognizes the signs and dangers of suicide which “saves lives”, a cross promotion was conducted utilizing the goalkeepers that “saves goals.”

 

Public Award
●Fukushima Prefecture Products PR ・Sales Channel Expansion Project (Fukushima United FC)
(A project that players and staffs worked along with the farmers in Fukushima from the spring in raising the products to harvesting. It was a year-long project in promoting the Fukushima prefecture born agricultural products. It’s been ten years since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the club became a hub in assisting the community to revive from the natural disaster.)
●Shizuoka City Share Cycle Project “PULCLE” (Shimizu S-pulse)
(This was a public-private partnership project conducted under Shizuoka city’s “Promotion plan to utilize Shizuoka City Bicycle.” The club joined the project to solve the social issues in the community utilizing the power of sports and also as part of the “COOL CHOICE awareness activity.”

 

Media Award
 ●Develop the boss of the children in the community “Bring Back playing the park.” (Gainare Tottori)
(Playing in the park has continued for 18 years. We are now in an environment, where playing outside is not the norm anymore and there is a sense of urgency, so a place to play has been provided. There have been over 150 events annually (data from 2018) and players and staffs play with the kids and has become the admired presence in the community.)
