Sanfrecce Hiroshima announced that midfielder Tsukasa Morishima had been approved to join the club as a JFA/J-League Type II Player on Wednesday.
The Mie Prefecture native is a third-year student at Yokka Central Industrial High School, and was recently selected to the Japan Under-18 team that played in Russia.
Sanfrecce hailed the 18-year-old, who was selected to 2014’s National High School Team, as “a player with strong technique and lots of ideas, capable of breaking a stalemate with his accurate passes.”
As a Type II player, Morishima will be allowed to play for Sanfrecce while retaining his status as a high school player.
