Yokohama FC midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh has been selected to Vietnam’s senior team for their upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The 20-year-old has represented his country at the Under-19 and U-23 levels but had yet to make his full national team debut.
“It’s an incredible honour to be selected for Vietnam’s national team,” Anh said. “I hope I can contribute to our victory.
”Vietnam, who are currently third in Group F, will host Chinese Taipei on March 24 before traveling to play Iraq on March 29.
