Japan midfielder Hotaru Yamaguchi has returned to Cerezo Osaka on a full transfer, the club announced on Sunday night.
The 25-year-old spent half a season with Germany’s Hannover 96, but made just six appearances after he was injured during national team duty in March.
“While I was in Germany I realised more than ever that my family is in Cerezo Osaka,” Yamaguchi said.
“I hope that I can start fresh and earn everyone’s approval. I want to play at Cerezo for as long as possible.”
