Vissel Kobe on Thursday announced their contract renewal with manager Nelsinho Baptista.
In his second year at Noevir Stadium, the Brazilian guided Vissel to a club-best finish of seventh place overall in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League with a record of 16 wins in all competitions.
Vissel were particularly impressive over the course of the Second Stage in 2016, as Nelsinho led them to a runners-up finish.
He previously won the 2010 J2 League, 2011 J1 League, 2012 Emperor’s Cup and 2013 J.League Cup while in charge of Kashiwa Reysol.
