Sanfrecce Hiroshima midfielder Kosei Shibasaki could miss the opening of the 2017 MEIJI YA-SUDA J1 League season after injuring his left adductor muscle.
Team doctors expect the 32-year-old to require three weeks of recovery time following the accident, which took place during training on January 30.
Shibasaki, who joined Sanfrecce in 2014, scored a career-best eight goals in 34 appearances last sea-son.
