J.League reaches agreement with SKY Perfect JSAT on overseas broadcasting rights

The J.League is pleased to announce that it has come to an agreement with SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO Shinji Takada) regarding overseas broadcasting rights from 2015 through 2019.

About the J.League’s Overseas Broadcasting Rights

■ Contracting parties SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation/J.League Media Promotion Inc.
■ Contract Period 2015~2019 seasons (five year contract)
■ Broadcast Content Meiji Yasuda J1 League (including Championship)Meiji Yasuda J2 League (including J1 Promotion Play-offs and J2/J3 Promotion-Relegation Series)J.League Yamazaki Nabisco CupFUJI XEROX SUPER CUP
■ Rights Worldwide broadcasting & internet transmission rights, excluding Japan (includes sub-licensing rights)
■ Notes: The J1 League was broadcast in 70 countries during the 2014 season. In 2015 and beyond the J.League is cooperating with related parties in order to increase the league’s global exposure.(1) WAKUWAKU JAPAN, a channel operated by SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation in Indonesia and Myanmar, will continue to broadcast J.League games in 2015.

(2) Subscribers of “J.League On Demand” who use the application’s service will be able to enjoy the J1 and J2 Leagues overseas.
